Welcome to the Congregation Beth Israel Ner Tamid Sisterhood, the local chapter of the Women’s League for Conservative Judaism. It is an international organization made up of 500 synagogue Sisterhoods and Women’s Groups.
We host great local programs, from cooking and craft classes, to mah jongg and book clubs. Other regular programs include Women’s Voice, Sisterhood Shabbat, Vendor Fair, and the Sisterhood Scholar- in-Residence. Whether online or in real life, there is something enjoyable for all our members!
Sisterhood supports the synagogue through volunteer work. Our members bake desserts for kiddushim, honey cakes and challah. The group also supports youth group events, the CBINT religious school, social action activities, and runs The Glass Box gift shop. Beyond CBINT, Sisterhood supports local special needs initiatives and community education efforts, and goes beyond Milwaukee to champion the Jewish Theological Seminary, directly and through scholarships.
We look forward to seeing you at our next event.
