When it came time for Max Steele to decide on his “Mitzvah Project,” Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin immediately came to mind. He was there for surgery when his appendix burst. It was a scary time, but he remembers the kind caregivers offering him art materials, fidgets, and toys as a happy distraction from the serious, sterile environment.
Now, with your help, Max wants to supply as many similar gifts as possible to current and future patients who also will pass through those doors.
He is collecting items which he and his family will deliver to the hospital for the children there to enjoy.
Please drop off a donation at the synagogue, or for those who are unable to bring in an item but would still like to participate, the Steele family is accepting donations via Venmo (@rachelsteele), Zelle (262-894-8063), and Paypal (@rachelgsteele).
They will gather the proceeds and do the shopping for you! Max will be collecting toys and funds through September 26.
Max and the entire Steele family want to thank all who participate, in advance, for their generous contributions.
