Conversion to Judaism

We welcome and celebrate those who choose to become Jewish. Conversion means learning a
sacred tradition, becoming part of a people, and accepting a covenant – both of practice and
commitments of the heart. Conversion through CBINT means stepping into the embrace of a
loving community.

The conversion process entails education and personal exploration, active participation in
Jewish holiday and lifecycle events, and, finally, a ritual transition and affirmation. Candidates
for conversion through CBINT will typically enroll in a virtual introduction to Judaism course
offered through the American Jewish University’s Maas Center. Rabbi Alter works with
candidates one-on-one to give full attention to the path each is walking from their tradition and
home of origin into Judaism, in the context of how it is practiced here at CBINT.

Please be in touch as you begin your exploration.
